The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Resubelpara came into existence in the month of September 2000 and in the following academic year of 2001 itself, Regular Training course for Teachers was started. DIET, Resubelpara initially fell under East Garo Hills District since its operation but since July 2012 it has fallen under North Garo Hills district with the new district carved out of the erstwhile East Garo Hills District on 27th of July 2012. The District Headquarter of North Garo Hills District is Resubelpara. The Institute offers a 2-years Diploma Course in Elementary Education for Pre-Service Candidates besides conducting a number of training programmes for In-Service teachers under CSS and SSA. The Institute is supported by well qulified teacing manpower and support staff.
